General questions
You're kidding, right? That's a rhetorical question, right? It has to be. What? It's not? Jesus wept. OK then ... let me draw you a map ... but first, I'll answer your question: The G7 Welcoming Committee Online Store is your direct source for all things digital and downloadable from G7 Welcoming Committee Records and its "artists." This Online Store features the entire G7 Welcoming Committee Records album catalogue available for purchase and download in high-quality (haha, no such thing) MP3 format (we plan to additionally offer the lossless FLAC format soon). You can choose to purchase individuals track downloads or entire full-length albums.
This here place is also where you can find our selection of physical music in the form of CDs and LPs (both of which will soon disappear as they are phased out), and also books we find of relevance and import.
The G7 Welcoming Committee Online Store is actually (really!) (seriously!) built right in to the G7 Welcoming Committee Records website and offers a very simple and intuitive online shopping experience, which will be familiar to anyone who isn't Amish.

Except where otherwise explicitly indicated, individual tracks are generally $0.99 and full albums are $9.99, in Canadian Dollars (for Canadian customers) or U.S. Dollars (for U.S. customers).
top
All prices in the Online Store are in U.S. Dollars and are available in Canadian Dollars "at par" (1 U.S. Dollar = 1 Canadian Dollar). Canadian customers will have their order automatically
re-priced to Canadian Dollars "at par" during Checkout, when a Canadian billing address is entered.
Also note that if your credit card's standard billing currency is not U.S. Dollars or Canadian Dollars, purchases from the Online Store will be subject to any applicable foreign exchange fees and costs imposed by your asshole credit card company.

You can pay for your Online Store orders using any Visa or MasterCard credit card issued anywhere in the world. We realize that not everyone has a credit card, and are (very close to?) bringing you the option to pay with PayPal (a service which you need only a bank account to pay via). Please note that charges for Online Store orders will appear on your credit card statement under the name Extreme Gay Porn Music Downloads.

No! No fucking way! If we allowed that we would never sell a single record! Of course I'm kidding (50%). Yes, you can preview them. You can listen to a 30-second long preview of each track download which is for sale in the G7 Welcoming Committee Online Store. The problem is that you are a born loser. No, I only kid. Orders on the Online Store are generally rejected due to one of three reasons: 1) The Billing Address provided does not closely match the billing address associated with your credit card account -OR- 2) The credit card has insufficient available funds/credit to allow the order to be processed -OR- 3) you are a loser. In the event that your order is rejected you will be given the opportunity to place your order again, where you can either modify your billing address to more closely match the one associated with your credit card account or use a different credit card. In the event that you are a loser ... well, we're sorry, but we can't help you there, as we are born losers ourselves.

Download file format and quality
All tracks and albums are available in standard in MP3 format. This widely-supported yet artistically-decrepit industry-standard format can be played back on any computer using freely-available or commercial software, and is supported by all major portable Digital Audio Players, including the Apple shitPod. We do plan on offering files encoded in FLAC format in the (near?) future.

Did you even read the question directly before this one? No, I guess you didn't. Hey - no biggie! No, we do not currently offer any lossless formats, but are working on offering files encoded with the Free Lossless Audio Codec in the near future. No need to give us FLAC about our download formats OK? We're taking baby steps here.

All MP3 tracks and albums are encoded at a Constant Bit Rate (CBR) of 320 kilobits per second (kbps). Fast, eh?

All tracks and albums are in standard MP3 format and do not contain any copy protection or digital rights management (DRM) controls or restrictions. They do, however, contain herpes. You are free to duplicate the files for personal use and enjoyment (so long as you use "protection"), including burning the tracks on to your own CDs. But remember - every time you illegally copy a record, a baby is stabbed.

Downloading
Once payment for your order is successfully processed, you will be able to access the Download Station where you can download all of the tracks and albums which you have purchased. You have two options when downloading tracks from the Download Station: 1. You can download all the tracks in your order as a single ZIP file -OR- 2. You may download each of the MP3 files on an individual basis, by clicking on the link for each track and saving each MP3 file on your computer. Additional instructions will be displayed on the Download Station page. An Order Confirmation e-mail will also be sent to the e-mail address you provided during checkout. This e-mail will contain a direct link to the Download Station for your order. This allows you to return to the Download Station to finish downloading your tracks at a later point in time. You will be able to access the Download Station for 10 full days after your order is completed.

Believe you me - we understand what it's like to have problems with your ZIPper when you really want to get your "files" out. Should you opt to download all the tracks in your order as a single ZIP file from the Download Station, your web browser will typically prompt you to Save or Open the file (using the default ZIP decompression software configured on your computer). Recent versions of Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OS X have built-in support for ZIP files and you should be able to open the ZIP file simply by double-clicking on the saved ZIP file. Then, simply use the software's extraction/decompression function to extract the MP3 files to a location of your choice on your computer. Should you require ZIP decompression software, you can download freely available versions of WinZip (for Windows) or StuffIt (for Mac OS).

If you are using a version of Microsoft Internet Explorer on an Mac computer, you may experience some difficulties downloading tracks from the Download Station. When clicking on a track link, Internet Explorer for Mac OS may automatically download the MP3 file, assigning it the incorrect filename "app" and begin playback of the file using the the default audio player. This is a limitation of Internet Explorer for Mac. (Ed. note - It's a terrible browser anyway, so you should just ditch that thing altogether thanks.) In order to properly download MP3 files with the correct filename, you must hold down the "Option" key while clicking on each of the track links. This will queue the download of the MP3 file in Internet Explorer's Download Manager window with the appropriate filename for each MP3 file. The files will typically download onto your Mac's Desktop, unless you've configured Internet Explorer to use another download location. If you continue to experience difficulties, you can reach Technical Support by emailing support@g7welcomingcommittee.com. Or perhaps you can email Steve Jobs personally and get totally clowned like Tony Brummel of Victory Records did. What a douche.

Security
The G7 Welcoming Committee Online Store uses industry-standard 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt the transmission of all your information during the Checkout process, including your customer and credit card information. The SSL encryption begins as soon as you enter the Checkout page and is denoted by the locked padlock icon which appears at the bottom of your web browser window (or top, depending on which browser you're using). SSL encryption technology is the same level of security technology used by virtually all major online shopping and web banking sites. If that makes you feel any safer.

Generally speaking, unless we mistakenly send you the wrong thing (trust us, it happens all the time), we frown upon returns. If you are insistent though, and call us asking to "speak to the manager", we may accept your return and give you a refund for the cost of the item. Return shipping costs (and our initial shipping costs to you) will not, however, be refunded.
If you do need to "speak with the manager", please send us an email at orders@g7welcomingcommittee.com.
